August 2016 Update

We promised great things would be happening here at the Warburton Holiday Park…and they are! As we write this snow is falling on the nearby mountains, providing our guests with hours of fun in the snow – just 20 minutes from the Park.

Shortly after our change of management in December 2015, a flurry of activity commenced. New split-system air conditioning was installed in all of our accommodation, together with new mattresses, linen and pillows. Our campers now benefit from the removal of the coin mechanisms for showers within our amenity blocks, making showers free to our guests.

The next stage of our construction plans has been completed – the installation of electronic boom gates to enhance guest safety.  Our new entry and exit points are now up and running. Be sure to stop at the office on arrival to collect your personalised Passcode.

The Bunkhouse, also known as the Cedar Lodge, has been renovated.  There are now two bedrooms off the main living area.  One bedroom, “The Bunk Room” has four sets of bunks in it and comfortably sleeps 8.  The second bedroom has two single beds and has been tastefully decorated.  The spacious living room is now home to two new sofa beds, enabling the Bunkhouse to now comfortably sleep up to 14 people.  Watch out for the new photos soon to be posted on our Website.

Many of you will be familiar with our oldest and much unloved amenities block.  Happily this has now been removed to make way for our fantastic new bathroom and laundry facility.  This is expected to arrive in September. We will then progressively replace the other existing amenities blocks with new facilities.

Our upgrade of the Bunkhouse has necessitated the removal of the old camp kitchen.  As a short-term measure a temporary facility has been erected, whilst we await construction of a thoroughly modern camp kitchen & barbecue area.  Our guests will be able to enjoy a barbeque in comfortable surrounds, and maybe even swap creative cooking ideas.

As we speak we are awaiting planning approval to commence our biggest ticket item this year – the demolition of the existing front office, to make way for a much more modern and functional Reception and Kiosk building.  A new Games & Recreation building will follow shortly.

We will keep you up to date with our progress as we continue the upgrade of the park.  Rest assured we remain conscious of protecting the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere that makes this park so special.
