Take the opportunity to walk through myrtle beech rainforest to the ancient Ada Tree in the Yarra State Forest at Big Creek Road.  The famous giant mountain ash is one of Victoria’s largest trees at 76 meters tall and 15 meters circumference, it’s also famously one of the largest known flowering trees in the world, said to be around 300 years old. From the picnic area follow Island Creek to the Ada Tree, and return along the same route.

For a great bike ride, take the 1 or 2 day Ada Tree Loop.
